Gk is just trolling, here is a more detailed discussion on the matter.......

[media] Deleted by respondent as it is misleading.

How does posting a video from September 12, 2011 have relevance to a recent phone call?

Are you suggesting these chaps had an ability to predict the future?

You shouldn't accuse me of trolling when the best you can do is post an unrelated video from last year.

Did you listen to the Thaksin phone call, or are you just participating in the thread because it serves as an opportunity to bash the man?

The problem with any all encompassing royal pardon scenario is that although the red shirts who were jailed have served part of their sentence, Thaksin hasn't. Therefore he wouldn't be eligible unless a special royal decree was implemented.

So can we take it reconciliation is off the agenda now then?

I am afraid yes... This is more a declaration of war than an attempt for reconciliation. This Taksin is ruining the country indeed, like Theerayudh also has said a few days ago. Never in Thai history there has been one more dividingthe unity of this country than Taksin. What a disaster for this country this guy he is: he is not only a professional thief and convicted criminal but he continues to interfere in politics to totally distroy this beautiful country...I don't think he will ever be buried on Thai soil anymore for the damage he has done!

*yawn*

Honestly, who cares anymore? They are all just a bunch of kindergartners fighting to see who's going to sit on top of the monkey bars for a little while before the next kid knocks them off.

We call it King Of The Hill. They call it politics.

Politics? That implies that there is actually a government and governance. I would say this country is a Prime Minister away from a failed/military state. I think they call it "Where's my money at?"

Your deluded post where you claim that you are in possession of information that could invalidate the published news item but refuse to substantiate your claims are trolling, as per the urban dictionary definition.

The most essential part of trolling is convincing your victim that either a) truly believe in what you are saying, no matter how outrageous, or B) give your victim malicious instructions, under the guise of help.

Trolling requires decieving; any trolling that doesn't involve decieving someone isn't trolling at all; it's just stupid. As such, your victim must not know that you are trolling; if he does, you are an unsuccesful troll.

After traveling in Isaan and the northern part of Thailand, the Thaksin political movement is like watching a cult.. the people thinks Yingluck and he walk on water and will do what ever he says. It is scary stuff how these simple, uneducated people can be brainwashed.

"The ex-leader also urged the red shirts not to take aggressive action against the Opposition Party but to express their willingness for negotiation to foster national reconciliation"

Quite difficult to have a willingness for negotiation with ones' opposite, when that opposite is disdainful.

You are exactly right. What ever got you to be honest about the red shirts.

The Dems tried it with the red shirts and every time they reached a deal the red shirts changed their mind.

After gazing into my crystal ball there are some predictions I want to share.

1 Yinglick will resign at the end of May when Taksin's political ban is finished

2 Taksin will be chosen to replace her as prime minister.

3 Parliament will find a way for Taksin to return with immunity from being arrested. Perhaps they will make him an MP or he will be appointed as a senator.

4 Taksin will arrive soon after, in his “glory” with the presence of the police detail that will protect him as the PM.

5 Civil war will engulf Thailand within a few weeks of Taksin’s return.

hellodolly - you are a bit free with your implication regarding Abhisit/Suthep's "negotiations".

edit: but maybe this year will see some kind of honest dialog. Maybe....

I would be more than happy to see him return; put Thailand back into full prosperity and kick-out CIA/western political influences. Welcome back Thaksin!

Doh! I think you need to look into his afiliations ei: the Carlyle group then rethink what you said

The bashers may wish to go and listen to the actual statements in Thai.

There seems to be a wee bit of latitude shown with the TAN translation.

Fools may wish to believe the actual statements in any language.

Fools may also wish to believe liberal translations of statements such that they cast someone in the most negative light. As I wrote previously, the word elegant does convey a different intent than the expression "full Glory".

Elegant doesnt make much sense as a translation to me (he has been called many things and tries to be many more; but elegant is not one of them), and 'full glory' is provocative I agree, personally I would plumb for 'come back in style' as a fit, but until you spill the beans and tell us what was the thai word thai word or phrase he used we dont have much else to go on.

Only in Thailand would anyone expect the GOVERNMENT to bail out people IT put in prison. I guess the Tourism Authority of Thailand will have another miracle to promote if Takisan gets the government to bail out his henchmen and he returns to Thailand in "full glory".

No problem: Come back to Thailand, do your 2 years in the country club prison of your choice (or build your own), and then get back to the business of wielding power and transferring as much wealth as you can suck out of Thai society to the pockets of you and your cronies. Hell, rural folk are easy -- 500 baht per heart and mind. They'll even buy their own red shirts, which you can manufacture in Burma and sell back to them for a slick profit. Bought sis a Prime Minster office. What else can you do? Life's good when you're a billionaire!

Unfortunately I can't read Thai. Is there a more accurate translation somewhere?

I'm a bit concerned that a man who still (if and until something changes) has a prison sentence to serve is negotiating with judges.

5) Has anyones life (foriegner) changed in any way from the politics? (Thaksin, Abhisit,Yingluk etc.?)

Yes - during Thaksin's reign the applications for PR was put on pile and not processed for several years. That affected a lot of people.

Not to overly parse the wording and the court's response...

But the 2nd TAN report doesn't say Thaksin is talking to the judges... It says Thaksin has asked his dynamic duo of Jatuporn and Natthawut to strong arm the judges... Then of course the court spokesman denies Thaksin is talking to the judges. But as for the other two???

yeah... The python has gone off into slumber after filling his stomach full.... but after years in the real world where the laws of the jungle are not the same as in his own territory, he wishes to come in again.... power hungry as ever. Move on big T..... become a part of history and go down its memory lane for what you created and messed up. Thailand has potential people with a large conscience and who will stand up to responsibility. I wish Thailand and its path to development all the success with people at the Helm, with a concience, worldwide attitude and respect towards people regardless if they are farmer or royalty. Each has its duty and do not need the subtle business tactics of one who aims to fills his own pockets and jeopardise the harmony in the country.

yeah... its easy to lend money that is not yours and take it back with intrest to make it legally yours right. I am with you on this... He has done wrong to the country and has cheated poor people farmers. Giving them money ofcourse...but taking it back or using the headmen in the villages to hold inheritance in other forms. If he is a MAN then let him bite the bullet and take his stand in courts. This whole idea of coming back in glory .... is really a sickening thought and an insult to Thai intelligence of common people.... it also makes me sick inside, because in reality....it is this "havent lost face" concept that is nurtured here, which is so prevelent in this country it seems to me that integrity and transperancy of a person is honoured less rather the tact of loosing face is honoured higher. On the contrary which is more noble to admit ones wrong and ask for forgiveness and take on the consequences. In my opinion come back to Thailand big T, the ones you cheated are now well educated to help you stand trial, face your consequences. This is more honorable than using puppets here to approach judicial systems to prove out of court his so called "innocence" and creating a comfortable pad with its laws by selection. Please do not get me wrong I have nothing against the red shirts. But any intelligent person will not allow a blind doctor to operate on those who can see.

Same as your claim to be defined as part of the Thai elite

Your statement has nothing to do with my position. I asked if anyone had actually listened to the telephone call. You obviously did not. Instead you are relying on the paraphrased report from one source, a source that apparently did not listen to the call in from Thaksin ether, I then provide an example of the different interpretation of the statements from a reliable source (Manager and BP) as printed in the Korat Post. You have chosen to ignore that. It is you that is making the outrageous statements and going off on a tangent, as demonstrated by your posting of an outdated video link that you attempted to pass off as a discussion of the actual call. As such, I believe that it is you that attempted to mislead people. Why else would you post a link to a September 12, 2011 item, without stating the date and offer it is a review of the call in question?

BTW your last point "Same as your claim to be defined as part of the Thai elite", makes no sense at all. What are you trying to write? Try again, but this time, please write coherently.

Considering the quality of a great many foreigners, it would seem to have acted to keep a lot of foreign failures, criminals and other assorted riff raff away. I understand that some foreigners still managed to obtain permanent residency at the time.

He is not negotiating with judges. For a copy of recording please contact Surin MP, Teeyai Poonsrithanakul (Rattanaburi district).
