March 31, 201214 yr You would think it should be a fairly simple procedure to go to the airport Vet for the dog export document, but based in my dog import fiasco I am quite fearful of the 'FreeZone' cargo area. I have a few questions for those who have done it themselves without any fiascos. - After passing through the security checkpoint do you need to go first to the 'admin' office to login and get an ID pass, and then proceed to the Vet's office? - Is it earlier the better for service at the Vet's office? - Are there any issues with this Vet filling out the respective Health Certificates for countries of transit/arrival or should I just go to a regular Vet for those? Thanks for your help!
March 31, 201214 yr There is nothing to it. You do not pass any sort of security checkpoint nor do you need any sort of pass. You just drive in, park and it is the very first building heading straight in and the office closest to the entrance/exit. In fact from your description I am not sure it is the same area as where you went. Ayway it is the air cargo/customs area. Like any government office, Mondays, Fridays and any day right before or after a holiday are apt to be busier. Can be anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours depending on the wait. My usual strategy is to arrivearound 2PM, since they close at 4:30.They'l make sure to get it done before they cose for the day. They will issue youboth an export license and a health certificate. (Unless of course the ocuntry you are going to requires something more involved like rabies antibody titers...if so they will inform you.) Costs allof 50 baht.

I do remember there being some sort of security checkpoint when entering the 'Freezone' Cargo area via road, but I guess you just tell them you're seeing the Vet and you know where your going (otherwise the touts hanging around will offer their assistance).
