30 Or 15 Day Stamp At Overland Crossings?

Featured Replies

I note from this website that as of 1 Apr there are new visa regulations and fees. I infer that now all checkpoints will stamp you in for 30 days, if your nationality does not require a visa.

More simply, as an American crossing the border from Cambodia to Thailand, will I receive a 30 stamp or a 15 day stamp?

Thanks for you help.

i am not aware of any changes and I believed it was still 15 days.

If you have a link to confirm 30 days it would be appreciated

Yes unless a real announcement was made on APRIL FOOLS DAYjerk.gif , land entries get FIFTEEN days.

There is no mention of any difference between air or land entry. And I cannot find any other info to confirm or deny this.

It depends on your antionality, but a US citizen gets 15 days on a land entry without holding a visa.

Some like Russians, get 30 days because their country has an agreement with Thailand regarding visa exempt entries.

Seems to be an old list, there are now a few more countries who get 30 days without a visa.

Koreans and Japanese I think are good for 90 days.

But the answer seems to be - April Fools!
