nonthaburial
HK Immigration are always a little wary of the female form from Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia and I have noted in the past that after a few basic questions they are able to tell the innocents from the guilty if you get my drift. The fact that she will be with you and of course you have return tickets as well as a hotel booking to show then I see no problems. Just dont rock their boats as they can be equally good at rocking yours also. They have a job to do so just respect that and enjoy the crowded dirty streets of HK
TRIPxCORE
Thai citizens are free to go to HKG all they want. Visa-on-arrival is available to them and you should have no problems. I have been there with my wife multiple times and nary a problem. Here is the timatic info just in case you need some reassuring: National THAILAND (TH) Destination HONG KONG (SAR CHINA) (HK) HONG KONG (SAR CHINA) (HK) Passport required (must be valid at least 1 month after period of intended stay). Visa not required for stay of max. 1 month. In all cases, if passenger holds: - APEC card (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation); or - travel pass issued under the Hong Kong (SAR China) travel pass Pilot scheme (see: For details, click here item 13.): visa not required. Visitor must hold: - return/onward tickets (unless when in transit to either mainland China (People's Rep.) or Macao (SAR China) by land or sea); and - all documents required for next destination; and - sufficient funds. Non-compliance with entry/transit regulations may result in refusal of passenger and a fine of HKD 10,000.- for carrier. Carrier is responsible for returning passenger to point of embarkation or place of origin.

andyfletch
Went to HK March this year with my g/f. First time for her out of Thailand, and no problems at all at Immigration. She loved it there. Enjoy yourself.
lane99
Anyone know how much "sufficient funds" are required? I'm coming from Canada, and will meet my Thai gf in HK. So, when she arrived in HK, I wonder how much money she needs to have with her?

Should not be a problem did it last October. Had a great time at Disneyland
