Tami Flu Availability In Pattaya

Featured Replies

It might be a good idea for us old timers in Pattaya to start taking precautions now including getting hold of some anti viral medicines ie. Tami Flu. Anyone know where to find this in Pattaya?

Or maybe a flu jab is a good idea, any thoughts on this one at all?

If this thing really does arrive all those stone tables outside the little mamma papa stores are gonna look mighty empty without the old folks sitting at them with their beers. :o

Yes Thailand has Tami Flu, but will be useless if the Avian flu mutates, as the virus would change.

The entire world is hoping this doesn't happen. In the meantime, don't worry as thiers nothing you can do.

Yes right but it's a bit grim reading about people getting knifed, falling off balconies and being mugged in Jomtien all the time in here. Thought it would be nice to talk about something that's gonna get us all.... :o

I went round a bunch of pharmacies a few months ago and none of them had even heard of Tamiflu. I got my friends to buy me some in Hong Kong instead. Apparently, Thailand has only about 70,000 doses of Tamiflu and it is held by the government/hospitals and you would be very lucky to find any for sale over the counter.

You do realise that you can only take Tami flu if you actually have the disease?

This means you have to be diagnosed professionally. The doctor would then prescribe the drug which it is very likely he will have. Self administering the drug (a prophylactic) will only increase the likelihood of it being ineffective should you actually get the disease…
