April 19, 201214 yr You know, its those little fridge that they have it in resorts, hotel etc. Couldnt find in tesco and makro. Thought that it will be a good idea to put one in my room, preferably with a small little freeze compartment.
April 19, 201214 yr Have seen them at Home Pro (near Big C Hang Dong). And also at Siam TV on the moat.

April 20, 201214 yr fyi - I believe that small bar-fridges use about the same electricity as larger fridges. If you want a small one to save money, you might want to check this...

April 20, 201214 yr It's more likely to be purchased to store the beer in the bedroom or TV room or garden sala, so you don't have to walk all the way to the kitchen but without a big ugly appliance in those places. Power, schmower. (And it's easily checked how much they use) Edited April 20, 201214 yr by WinnieTheKhwai
April 20, 201214 yr If you want to save a few bucks look along Manee Nopparat Road (north side of the moat) there are about 6 or 7 places along there that sell new and used ones of all different sizes.
April 20, 201214 yr It is sadly fact that the small fridges are as expensive as the cheaper fridges at circa 5k bt. I need a small freezer just for fruit and seriously considering the big blue plastic tubs filled with ice cubes. All the food cart people use them...but not sure of the longevity of the ice cubes, but for around 400bt at tesco, its an option, .save the cost of ice cubes and frequency. (anyone knows how long?)
April 20, 201214 yr Was expecting that reply!! My thinking is to keep a very small amount of fruit, for making fruit drinks and the like, but not necessarily wanting to get a chest freezer.initially (especially in low season) But my question was, how long do you think these ice cubes would last-indoors. if maybe only 3 days then an investment in a small chest/upright freezeris the way to go. sorry I am going off topic here.
April 20, 201214 yr Author wow, thanks all. great information, yeah i already have a larger fridge, looking to put a small one under my desk. normal fridge use quite reasonable electricity anyway so no issue on that. just to share some experience i have this really small fridge (micro fridge or whatever that are chilled by a square metal plate) that i bought from singapore, just able to fit in half a dozen of soda. completely a piece of junk, its only good to retain temperature of soda cans that are already cold and thats about it

Are you serious? 3 days? The ice cubes will be melted by the end of the day.
