chuang
you can collect winnings at the Bangkok lottery head office....or if it is a small amount go to those shops selling lottery, you can get your winnings minus maybe 2% for commission.
ThaidDown
It's quite simple really, 1, You buy the ticket (s) 2, On the 1st or 16th of the month give ticket to wife/gf 3, She checks to see if ticket is a winner. 4, She collects winnings, spends them and says thank you !! Repeat as required.

That was assuming all other ThaiVisa members have "very, very exotic hi-so Chinese-Thai wives" so they would be bound to say "Thank-you" was not speaking from experience
loong
ok thx, but i still want Know how many diffrent lottery system exists and ticket and explain the rules lucky number etc! How many number must be correct to crack the checkpot did I also win money when 1 number correct or must be 3? How many prozent tax goverment take from a lottery win? I really have no idea about all the intricacies of the lottery - I don't play it. I think that you need at least 2 numbers to get anything, but not sure, certainly more than 1 If I remember correctly, I think that 50% is returned as winnings. But, most sellers charge 100 Baht for an 80 Baht double ticket. That means that only 40% is returned. At those odds, I'm really not interested in gambling on it. Yaaklenmai
It depends on if you are talking about the official lottery or one of the none official (illegal) offshoots. What I can say (based upon personal experience) is that the numbers for the latter are based upon those of the former and my TGF won more than 500,000 THB, having been told which numbers to buy. Make of that what you will!

Make of that what you will! My understanding is that the government one is actually the offshoot from the original underground one, but that yes these days the latter is based on the numbers generated by the former. In either case I consider it a classic loser's game, very regressive tax on the poor and part of the bread and circuses scheme. Falsely gives them hope much better applied (along with the money of course) toward actually applying themselves to get out of their situation.
