PHUKET: -- Officers from the Anti-Human Trafficking Division (AHTD) of the Royal Thai Police and Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) on Friday night inspected go-go bars in Soi Sea Dragon, off Soi Bangla in Patong, but failed to uncover any evidence of lewd behavior.

Twelve officers from the AHTD Region 5 and ISOC, commanded by AHTD Region 5 Deputy Inspector Pol Lt Anan Nitirangsan, raided seven go-go bars including Exotica and the Candy Club a-Go-Go at about 10pm.

The raid was to target clubs showing “nude shows” and lewd acts such as “ping-pong shows” and to arrest any club operators allowing such activity.

Before the raid commenced, officers asked media in attendance to wait at a restaurant on Phra Baramee Road, so that the targeted venues remained unaware of the impending operation.

Once the raids started it was about half an hour before officers allowed the media onto the scene at Soi Sea Dragon.

At the scene police were observed questioning employees outside the bars. Inside, officers found only dancing girls on stage, dressed respectably in bikinis.

It was evident to the media that the shows were all completely hidden from outside view within the various establishments.

dressed respectably in bikinis.

Said as if that's how Thai's normally dress respectfully.

Totster biggrin.png

Other than the pseudo S&M shows that happening in the club pictured above...

But what the heck they ARE in respectable bikinis as they

beat their customers with airconditioning insulation hoses.

I wonder if the media was kept at bay so they would not see the bar owners being tipped off? ;-)

Ye of little faith...

its funny because from the street you can see that none of the girls at the rock gogobar wears a bra. They always hang near the window/door.

Thai officials just think all citizen and expats are dumb.. sadly the gazette once again did not step up and write about the obvious bullshitting that just happened.

"but failed to uncover any evidence of lewd behavior."

Unbelievable. Who writes this shit?

Apparently Police would not respond to media questions as to why two of them had ping pong balls caught in their clothing and one other, the remnant of a burst balloon on his jacket shoulder.

But good to see a report of NO LEWD behaviour.

The succes of the search was later celebrated by all with a piss up and snake show in a local go go...

" failed to uncover any evidence of lewd behavior."

Didnt try very hard, apparently. Did you guys PUSH the doors open?!

I have never found any nude or lewd ladies in these establishments, over many years. If the Thai Police are reading this, you can believe me that the ladies in all these venues have always been very proper and polite. It is not surprising that you wasted your time with these raids.

the reporters were kept away for about half an hour. That is plenty of time to get paid off and have the girls take care of the cops first before they come in. Wow! Only in Thailand. Hahahahaha biggrin.pngclap2.gifcheesy.gif

I try to avoid anti-humans, similar to zombies.

I would support the Human Anti-Trafficking Division, though. Seems Thailand needs the distinction since they have a Canine Anti-Trafficking Division.

How did they not uncover any ping pong shows!? The second you step foot on soi Bangla you have people coming up to you shoving

ping pong show adverts in your face. All they would have to do is follow the lead!

never seen a Thai in a bikini on the beach ermm.gif

You must never visit the beaches in Phuket than

Okay, no lewd acts, but did they uncover any evidence of human-trafficking?

Amazing, that the press was there already. Must have been a VERY secret action cheesy.gif

What has Anti-Human Trafficking Division got to do with lewd behaviour?

Hush yo money, you mean.

At least they are doing things by the book down there...I wonder if BKK would have the same results at some of its more popular establishments?
