just bought 2 cars saab 9000CD 2.0L 1995 and audi A6 1995 2.3L does any know both cars can use gasohol ? and also install LPG system

many thanks

I would stay away from gasohol...those older cars were not design for that...as to the LPG,it's probably OK,if you want to keep those cars for long time to justify the initial investment...

If you don't know the problem, but can recognize symptoms, try to Google it...there are several Audi sites/clubs(Saab maybe too) where people are very helpful and you can get parts quicker and cheaper...

The Audi can use gasohol 95. I have a 95 S6, I run it on gas 95 always. No issues. If you want to be safe, just have the garage change the rubber fuel lines to new hoses which can handle E10. Cheap

I can recommend Set Up Service on Nawamin rd. Located between Sois 76 and 78. There is a taxi rental place on the street side. Big yellow place. Set Up Service is just past that. Good service and good prices. Ask for K'John.

However, the 2.3 5 cylinder is tricky to maintain. Good engine, but tricky.

...sorry to jump in here...but I do have some issues with my A4 V6 some time and I think it may be fuel related(or ECU).The car was run on gasohol 95 for a few months before, now only on benzine 91.Every so often I'm experiencing some lag of power for a while and than things go back to normal...been to the shop and check the computer ,but at that time things were OK and no problem readings detected....Any ideas?...and I'm still looking for a knowledgeable Audi mechanic in CM(except for the dealer of course). Can the ECU in those cars be adjusted/map...?

Your issues does not have anything to do with what fuel you use, except using 91. That octane rating is too low. You can use it, but you will have much less power.

The loss of power on your 2.4 V6 probably has somethin g to do with your intake manifold. I see the 2.4 V6 cars a lot at our garage with the intake manifild off. There is a common problem with these engines, not sure what.

If you want a good Audi garage, see my recommendation:

I am getting fed up with people saying that E10 gasohol cannot be used on modern cars (ie. post 1992). E20 is another story.

All rubber fuel lines deteriorate. Here they go bad faster. Just get them changed as cheap insurance.
