Khao Sok

Featured Replies

Hi there Guys and Gals,

Where are the good places to stay in Khoa Sok, Sarrat Thani. :o

I've been saying I'm going to go there for ages and I'm going for sure when I get back in March.

Thanks for any information.

Do you mean Khao Sok National Park? If so, there's bags of places not far off the road, although I haven't been for 7 years or so. One place down the path and on the right from the main road has lofty tree-houses over the river. You can also stay right inside the park but a little pricier and takes a while to get there.

Not sure about Surat...bit non-descript that one.

Yes, sorry Khoa Sok is in Surat Thani province.

I used to stay at Arts Riverview Jungle Lodge. He has nice rooms and plenty of them. The guesthouse is set on a river, and many of the rooms arent visible from the next one along.

Enjoy!

I have stayed at Art's as well, in fact, hubby is there with our boys for a few days for a bit of male bonding. They are fishing, swimming in the river and generally having a great time. Enjoy!

Nung House is great. The staff is very friendly and the food is fantastic.

:o:D

you can have a look:

What's the average price for a standard fan, bath, bed bungalow? Are these places right in the park. Sounds like you just get the bus to Phuket and tell the Driver to let you off at Khoa Sok. Pretty easy, no?

none of the resorts are inside the park(as far as I know)...but most of them are from a walking distance.

I am not sure about the price this time of the year but you can find different room prices within the resorts.

when you get off from the bus at Khao Sok (km 109) you will see a bunch of local people advertising their resort...just pick the one you like it.

I will recommend you the lake tour.

Actually a friend of mine is married to a guy who runs tours to the lake. I don't know if I am breaking the forum rules by mentioning his business, but you can visit www.limestonelaketours.com for more information.

Thanks Donna. I may just do a tour since it will be my first time there. It won't be till April. I hope there will still be water then.

Morning Mist is very good, stayed there a few months ago. Web address is http://www.morningmistresort.com/ - very friendly staff and nice rooms, also the Thai Herb Restaurant next door is excellent too. If you stay there, I'd recommend spending an afternoon tubing, great fun!
