Flight Socks

hi all,

Does anyone know where to buy flight socks in BKK?

The missus and her mother are going on a long haul flight soon. They both have problems with blood flow to their low legs/ankles that get a bit sore/swollen when they have been sitting down for long periods of time. I have sent her out to buy flights socks but she has no idea where to get them from. In the UK they are always in Boots. She checked in MBK boots (she checked both of them and Watsons) she couldn't find any/ there was no luck asking around in there. I swear i have seen them in boots around Koh San as they are a bit more travel orientated. . But has anyone got any definite sightings??

You could try the hospitals. They will definitely have them.

ok thanks, we live very close to phayathai hospital so will tell her to pop in. i guess they will call them decompression socks or tights. does anyone know the thai word for them so she doesn't look like a L00n? i have a had to mime socks before but i don't think i could portray flight socks without being asked to leave...

In Hong Kong I found a pair in Watson's, they were labelled "Diabetic Socks" I guess same theory to keep pressure.

You could also use panty hose??? They even have some that only knee high.

Or you could get them to sort out their circulation so that they don't need socks. send them to do 30 mins cardio exercise very day.

Ladies tights might do the job, but just get them to stand up and walk the isles now and again.
