boppia
You can definitely lose five kilos of weight in a month by low carb/no carbing. The weight may be water weight but you will lose it if you try to avoid all carbs.

haha
rodney dangerfield knows the answer to that question. ..but seriously, I'm trying to lose weight too. I figure I need to lose about 10 kgs. it's my new years resolution. lose 20 lbs of ugly fat without having to cut off my head. it's not easy. my feet hurt when I run more than 1 mile. so, running 5 miles a day is out of the question. ...maybe stay away from thaivisa for a while, go for long walks instead? No joint stress like from jogging, and you actually burn more calories. Has definately extended my life.

Sheryl
What is the best way to lose 5kgs in a month? any suggestions? anyone? You can definitely lose that much in 2 weeks if you go to one of those fasting/detox programs. Personally recommend Health Oasis in Samui. Of course, you'll still have to make some long-term lifestyle changes to avoid regaining it, but that's easier than trying to lose it. I lost (and have kept off) 3 kg there in 7 days -- after years of unsuccessful attempts on my own. Doesn't subsititue for exercising more/eating better but is a useful way to jump start the process. Also, I found that coming off a fast it was easier to start new eating habits. Plus the incentive to keep the weight off...
