It seems to me there is alot of talk about health insurance and alot of people in Thailand who are insured by their companies, or insured locally who assume they have coverage when they travel, but simply do not.

Does your insurance truly international? Does it include travels cover and emergency assistance when you are far from home?

yes if you have healthcare international .they cover you in every country ,its health insurance for expats and very reasonable prices.even covers your country of origin for 6 months if you go back for a holiday.and 2 months cover in the USA.

I've noticed that women with jobs at banks, hospitals, etc., simply do not frequent normal bars. I'm so tired of the exact same bar lady questions "how long you in Pattaya" etc. etc. I'd really like to try and meet a woman with a regular job, who is not a freelancer or bar lady! Does anybody know of anyplace like that in Pattaya (or anywhere in Thailand for that matter). You're welcome to PM me if you don't want it to be public knowledge for obvious reasons! Anyone know of a reputable motorbike repair shop in the Central Pattaya area? I fell off my rental motorbike a week ago at about 25-30km/h and ended up badly scratching the plastic front-side section of the motorbike quite a bit. I presume the only way for them to fix this is for them to order a replacement of the plastic front-side section and throw out the old one? Roughly how much would something like this cost, ballpark figures?

U.S. Medicare is not acceptable for the LTR health insurance requirement. There are several Thai companies that will provide coverage even at age 70 plus, or you could use the $100k in bank method. The $100k would need to be seasoned for 12 months prior to application, and then maintained for the duration of the visa. I started off using AXA Thailand insurance at 22,600 baht per year, but I switched to the $100k in bank method this year.

When I hit "Pay now" on Shopee, I get a QR code. This old Luddite doesn't do QR codes--my mobile is not connected to the Internet. There is a drop-down menu which includes my choices: Cash on delivery or Credit cards. Clicking on them doesn't work. Anybody else have this problem? (God, I hate QR codes. Queuing behind some idiot who does have card or cash!)
