my wife wants her two twin boys to join us in uk on EEA family permit visa. we need to know what papers we need in advance of submitting visa forms .

also we are both unemployed, though i am still excercising my treaty rights ( even though im unemployed ) as an EEA national. im on sick , incapacity benefit at moment but in order to get kids a visa i must be actively seeking employment so im going to come off sickness benefit and go onto job seekers.

we are in process of trying to get placements in local high schools but it is proving difficult at present, two schools we have tried say they do not have room. is it a nessesity to have placements for the kids in school and written consent from schools in advance to give to the embassy on application ?

what forms do we need before we travel to bangkok to submit visa application ?

is there anything we ought to know before we book tickets and make this application?

obviously we are spending money on flights etc for me , wife and daughter so we need to know everything in advance so as not to waste our time and money.

thanks in advance

How old are the boys, The State will only guarantee free education until the age of 16. In order to go on to further Education. They may need Exam papers GCSE's or the like.

If they are not yet 16 the law says that they have to go to School. The local authority will have to place them. It is the Law.

Is bringing two non UK nationals into the UK and attempting to secure state education for them legal?

Yes, in this case, however much you or I may dislike it. As long as the OP's wife (who is qualified to stay in the UK as an EEA Family Member) can prove that they are in fact her children and that they are under 21, they also qualify as EEA Family Members, and may apply to come to the UK without meeting any other criteria.
