Suggest you go to the usual suspects HoweWorks, HomePro, Boonthavorn, Kanyong.

Go to Homemart Max on Sukhumvit between Pattaya Tai and Threppasit, and go downstairs IE: under the main showroom, they should be able to help you there.

Not sure about "Inside Pattaya", but on the "darkside", there are a lot of shops on the main roads esp. SSCC, Neurnplubwan etc.,

which sell everything you need for interior construction.

Also on "Thanon Rodfai" aka Pattaya Bypass, between Highway 36 and Soi Siam Country, (direction Sattahip) there are some bigger shops.

I usually buy plasterworks, stones, cement and similar things there. These are the shops, were the local workmen buy their stuff.

They can definitely help you.

Suggest you go to the usual suspects HoweWorks, HomePro, Boonthavorn, Kanyong.

Nah, if you don't need a waterheater/whirlpool/expensive builtin kitchen or some other "schickymicky stuff", I find it better, to avoid these money laundries, sorry "mega stores" whistling.gif

One more tip, if somebody looks for a real hardware/construction/tools mega store, try this one

http://hardwarehouse.co.th/

On motorway 7, near Sri Racha

This is not a "thai style" store, Inside you feel like you're in a similar store back home.

Incredibly big and they have really everything, a man needs. My absolutely top favourite.thumbsup.gifthumbsup.gifthumbsup.gif

tried the chain stores its not something they have

also tried some of the builders merchants no have

seems to be a specialist thing

Yes i also like to find an alternative to drop down dry wall that has that Thai look of uneven edges and thrown together; Must be a better way with prefab plasics or wood or anthing to use the drop down framework that is supplied already and just shorten it to rains ceilings.

Anyone know where to get framework and the rods ( I hear they are going cheap now with just wire hangers vs heavy duty anchor rods).

aweSome ! . I see the adds and fotos of the" hardware house"- listed as Siracha . just east of Laem chabang; Looks like it has it all as sure can't find what you need in ceiling materials in pattaya ; or know how to get them.

Why they call it siracha when it appears to be just east of Laem Chabang port going on hwy 7 north to Bkk ?

TIT. Oh well

hope we can find it all there.

I have the drop down support system but want to rease it and if can find the wood, panels or anything; it would save time and aggravation to see the locals work with dry wall .

Anyone know of decent; understanding contractors in Pattaya if i can find the materials I need ?

Anyone can suggest pool service, fixing tiles etc. Tried the big ones on Sai Sam but little English !

This might be DIY project also.

See many lovley rock gardens, waterfalls near pools. Any recommendations ?

ok so i found a small builders merchant that stocks the ceiling

prices from memory as i left my notes in the new place

box of 12 600 x 600 tiles 173 B

L section 6 meter length 45B

T section 6 meter length 65 B

T section 600mm length 7 B

all from stock

very good prices i think

The merchants is on Soi Bunkanchana Jomtien

travel along Sukhumvit from pattaya to jomtien turn right in bunkanchana large junction with lights with no left turning

Merchants about 500m down on right hand side after row of shop houses open bit of ground with big pile of top soil and pile of stone

one guy there spoke english but i had my personal translator with me (wife)
