Just been looking at this from Savannaket Casino who can do your Thai visa(odf course you need stay in their all too tempting Casno)

But it says Lao visa is free fro all ovwr 65s .

Is this true,can any UK citizen over 65 confirm this?

Lao visas are not required for nationals of Japan, Korea, Russia, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Brazil (Diplomatic, official or service passports), most ASEAN member countries (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam), elderly aged over 65 and children under 15 years of age. I think the Savannakhet casino folks have forgotten to inform Lao Immigration of the "over 65" item, sure didn't work for me on 8 May at Thannaleng.
