My sincere apologies. I misread. Although in this instance you are saying that all 16 million votes were bought. Are you standing by this claim?

its hard to Quantify, there may be some poetic license, but if you have a consice number I would like to know.

They are all dirt bags, every single one of them. Why do we care so much? We have sun, and palm trees, and lovely local lasses, and beer. Everyone just <deleted> and enjoy life.

Hard to party on when a civil war is on, sure it fun at the start with gogo girls dancing on tanks but gets nasty real quick.

I think we care because non of us want to lose that or see the smiles wiped off the faces of the people we care about.

16 million bought votes for Thaksin.

A little factoid that were it true would have the Dems shouting from the rooftops demanding PTP's dissolution don't you think?

There was huge vote buying all the last elections......Even the Dems are much cleaner than the PTP it would be enough to dissolve them. Beside some minor parties who were never in the parliament you would have to dissolve every party in Thailand if you check for vote buying.....

There isn't much need for fast forward, just hit reverse and go back a few years.

Well there are a few convictions. Bandit, 38 years for firing RPGrenade at the emerald Buddha temple comes to mind. Do you have proof of bomb damage at the airport, or are you saying the court decision was fallacious?

How many more times are you going to peddle this Emerald Buddha temple B/S. The grenade was fired at the Defence Ministry and that was what he was charged with; The Emerald Buddha story was pushed by the government/DSI for propoganda purposes. Remember this post?

"The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) announced on Friday night that it has arrested an ex-policeman and another suspect who allegedly confessed that they were hired to attack the Temple of the Emerald Buddha with RPG rockets.

DSI chief Tharit Pengdit said former Pol Lance Corporal Bandit Sitthitum, 43, and Supanat Ui-yawet, 43, were paid 500,000 baht by Pol Lt Col Supachai Tuikaewkam, whose wife, Juriporn Sintuprai, is a red-shirt leader from Pattaya.

The incident took place on March 30, and it was understood at the time that the target of the planned attack was the Defence Ministry, a short distance from the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.

Bandit and his accomplice allegedly fired the RPG rocket from a side street across a small canal at the back of the Ministry's building, but the attack failed after the rocket got caught in power lines and fell short.

Mr Tharit claimed Pol Lance Corporal Bandit had confessed that the real target of the planned attack was the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in order to create panic and chaos because the temple is a national symbol revered by all Thais."

The reality being this;

The court ruled that public prosecutors had strong evidence and convincing witnesses to prove that Pol Lance Corporal Banthit Sitthithoom 44 had fired a rocket-propelled grenade at the Defence Ministry on the night of March 20 last year.

BANGKOK, Dec 13 - Thailand's Criminal Court on Tuesday sentenced a former policeman to 38 years in jail for firing a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) into the Ministry of Defence during the political chaos in 2010.
