ruddy2000
OK so admittedly I haven't been to the dentist in quite a while..years in fact. Due an accident years ago the last time I visited I had to have 2 caps put on my front teeth. Just recently the second of these caps has fell off leaving me now with an arch in my two front teeth. On top of this my teeth have never been the straightest (or whitest for that matter!) So I guess what I'm saying is that it seems to be the right time to finally go back to the dentist and have everything that's needed done. 2 Crowns this time, a check up for any fillings needed, cleaning, whitening and if anything can be done about the fact that my bottom row are crooked then that too. So i guess im looking for any recommendations for English speaking Dentists in BKK and also any price estimates ( my 2 caps cost me 90quid years ago back home!) would be greatly appreciated! Cheers! ruddy2000
Sorry I live in the Ban Khae Area. Silom would be the closest area in the city.
russianrobert
Not in the Silom area but i always use Bumrungrad Hospital, dental unit. The service is excellent but not cheap. Still, a hellavalot cheaper than having it done back home!
rucus7
Our family uses Bangkok Dental Hospital.Soi Sukhumvit 49. I recently had a crown for about 20,000 Baht. The are not the least expensive, but they are totally reliable.

tjhorner
I have used RSU Dental clinic before; Docs speak English well!!! Responsible priced, ask for the Thai price. Cleaning, a lot more fillings than I am willing to admit , and a double root canal. Excellent work! http://www.rsuhealthcare.com/en/ourcenter/dental-center-vanit.html Suk 33 Wattana area

I have used soi 49 dental hospital for about six years or so and very satisfied with them...it is run by an ex military guy with precision....big modern operation with a big staff ...maybe not the rock bottom cheapest but i suspect you get what you pay for and since you only have one set of teeth it is a likely not a bad idea to spend a few more baht and get it all done right...i used to go to bumrungrad but for me personally i much prefer soi 49...they are very good about answering emails and will give you quotes etc... http://www.dentalhospitalbangkok.com/
MaxwellsDemon
If you're on Silom I would say BNH on convent is top-notch as a hospital. I'm not 100% sure they have a dental unit but since it's near check it out.
maxme
Check with Silom Smile Dental Clinic which is on Saladeang road and just behind Silom Complex. From what i have heard its one of the best in the area and serves mostly foreigner customers,so no worries about language barrier. They have their prices up www.silomsmiledental.com
mamypoko
Turns out we're both not city-center. I've used both of the dental clinics at Nakornthon Hospital and Bangkok 9 Hospital. http://www.nakornthon.com/en_about_us.php http://www.bangpakokhospital.com/ And for routine work, there's a small dental office behind Bang Mot Hospital (approx. 25 from the main road). All the above are on Rama 2 - perhaps 10-15 minutes from Ban Khae. As a side note, some of the worst work I've had done was at an upscale clinic in Silom. I've yet to meet a dentist here that doesn't speak English. Hope this helps.

The are not the least expensive, but they are totally reliable. Be careful! There's another place called Bangkok Dental Hospital in Silom. Not the one Suk 49: http://www.dentalhospitalbangkok.com/ I've been here many times and they are fantastic. Mostly expats there. All staff speak English. And many specialists. Top notch. And not really that expensive. Many times here in Thailand, you truly do get what you pay for. Bumrungrad is very good also. I'm sure there are others, but these two would be in the top tier. I'm actually there on Tuesday for a followup visit from last week. Nice to have a dentist who says you don't need to have XXX procedure done. Just a waste of money. Most places here in Thailand would never tell you that. I had 2 dentists there last week tell me that! Best of luck!!

Thanks yeah I was axtually thinking of NakornThon on Rama II myself, as I have been there before to see the doctor and was very impressed. Nice clean and they attend to you very quickly
