12 suspected gamblers caught playing “Hi-Low” for cash in Central Pattaya

PATTAYA:--Gambling is illegal in Thailand but the temptation to win money through card and dice games with friends is sometimes too strong to resist.

In the early hours of Tuesday, a group of friends were caught playing the popular dice game “Hi-Low” for money in Soi Nokow in Central Pattaya. A member of the public was more than willing to provide Police with information of where the event was taking place and how many people were involved which gave officers the opportunity to plan the arrest and ensure that no one was able to escape.

A total of 12 people were arrested and evidence of the gambling including a home-made game-board, dice and some cash were seized.

Oooohhh the villains, hang 'em high and let the jet ski goons walk free!

The way the police here have their priorities twisted just beggers belief at times. Twelve gamblers and a homemade game board on what looks like a scrap bit of card, and they launch a full on bust.

Amazing Thailand.

Looks like they didn't have enough tea money for the BIB, that's why they were arrested. Some Thai friends were busted for gambling and BIB wanted 500 per person, they negotiated down to 300 baht per person

Oooohhh the villains, hang 'em high and let the jet ski goons walk free!

They are in the money business, not crime fighting business.

Pay to play.
