I see the Villa Market on soi 33 Sukumvit, have been adding American snacks to there fare. I have baught Baby Ruth, Milky Way, Milky Way caramel, 3 musketeers, Butterfingers, Rollos. They have always had snickers, M&M's, Hershey Kisses. I spend 5000-6000 every trip I make there now s I load up on snacks. Add in the Dr Pepper, My Dew, Cherry Coke, and minute Maid Pink Lemonade mix, all I need now are some Twinkies and Hormel Pepperoni, its getting tough to not gain seral pounds as well as waist line inches!!

well...I have a problem finding Reese's Peanut Butter Cups but just as well as they are addictive...

some nice Hostess cupcakes wouldn't be bad...either chocolate or butterscotch...and then there are the sublime Hostess berry pies...

a few years ago I was in Philadelphia and went down to the local 7-11 and looked at the display and I bought about $100 worth then went home and was orgiastic...I woke up a few hours later and then couldn't believe what I had done...

then I opened the half gallon jug of cheap vodka and made meself a drink and thought about it...

in America everything is in large measure...

Forgot about the Reeces, they have the peanut butter cups and well as reeces pieces as well. I gave the manager a list of stuff I wanted and was willing buy caseloads if need be. Hostess whole display lot would be good and still want my Hormel Pepperoni!!

Foodland carries a constant supply of Reeces. Villa also has them. More bizarrely has to be the recent addition of Reece's Peanut Butter Cups at my local Tesco.

All you need now is angioplastylaugh.pngsad.png

Candy don't cause plaque! I have had 19 Angioplasties, 9 MI's, 5 strokes and open heart bypasses twice,, and currently just had 4th ICD placed, but mine is from a inherited gene that produces to much cholesterol. I don't smoke, and quit drinking when I came over here, so food is my thing. I grill almost everything I eat, and eat a lot of salads as well, but love my candy in the evening, but would eat half a stick of pepperoni at a sitting if I could get the American style. I am 58, 5'6", and only weigh and average between 150-160 lbs. The Praham 9 hospital should be almost financeing there staff with my costs for just the last six months, hell my meds for the month average 20,000THB! Candy is the least of my worries!

I have nothing against imported candy bars, but there are a few local bakeries that have fresh, better tasting snacks for a cheaper price, so I do not eat imported candy very often (other than dark chocolate).

Whoa. Sounds like there are enough Americans with a sweet tooth out there jonesing (like me) for good old American treats from back home, so... why don't we import a 40-footer of these babies (but don't forget the Funny Bones! Other suggestions welcome, too- there's plenty of room!)??

cool.png

PS- And, when the container arrives, I will meet it with a 1/2 gallon of milk and one of those tee shirts that says: LEAVE ME ALONE.

and then there was tutsi hitchhiking near San Jose CA and then a madman stopped and offered a ride...we were tooling along at high speed on US 101 and there was a box of Hostess Ding Dongs on the seat...and then the madman sez: 'wanna Ding Dong?' and then tutsi sez: 'don't mind if I do...' and then unwraps the foil packaging...the madman had just broken out of the San Jose county jail and we were in a stolen car eating Ding Dongs...and then we just cruised northwards towards SF...minding our own business...

rolleyes.gif Haven't you heard?

The white man came to the Americas and stole the red man's land.

But the red man was smarter....he gave the foolish white man Chocolate and Sugar.

Now the white man is killing all his decendents off with those Chocolate covered pieces of sugary death.

In time, the red man will bury the white man in his useless polutted land.

Revenge is sweet....and covered in Chocalate too.

I thought Rolo, Mily way, Caramel and Snickers aka marathon where British

Rolo are Cadbury and English but Milky Way and Snickers are american and associated with Hersheys...ye gots to know yer chocoate bars...I remember when Rolos wre introduced to the US market in the early 60s...they were really expensive compared to the local chocolate...

american chocolate is coarse and brutal whereas the Cadburys is a creamy, milky delight...then later when I bought the swiss Lindt there was a good medium between the two...Lindt is wildly expensive but is soooo gooood...

and here's tutsi naked in bed with the vietnamese 'bitch' and I had managed to find Lindt chocolate at the local supermarket and I had offered it as a post coital surprise...and then she sez: ' ummm...' and then I sez: 'could I have a bit of that please?' and she silently shrugged me off...and then when she had finished she looked into my eyes with a wicked twinkle and wanted to have more sex...she was shameless...

some Jujubies wouldn't be bad...and M&M peanuts...but the best chocolate coated peanuts were unpackaged and were sold loose at candy counters...and here we are at Sears&Roebuck and me dad sneaks away to get some for his own consumption, he was a cheap, selfish bastid but he had to eventually give some up to us kids...then me mum who was a public health nurse and big on nutrition is annoyed and sez: 'oh, Charles...tutsi's teeth are a mess and you aren't helping...'

tutsi had an oppressed childhood...

Indeed, I found Recees Pieces and Peanut Butter Cups two weeks ago at Tesco Lotus at Seacon Square. I wonder if they are available at other branches. I usually go to On Nut. I will have a look, as I am out of coffee and need to go today.

I didn't know about Rolos at Villa. I'm going to have to check that one out!

They have the M&M peanut, and I am trying to get some boxes of dots, twizzlers licorace, smarties, skybars, clark bars. I did find out if you go there, you have to look and see as some thing not on shelves and I ask! candy ordrs taken, now time to get Pepperoni and pickled sausage

This seems like the place to ask: where do you keep your chocolates? Left sitting at room temperature they quickly turn to mush and you almost have to lick them out of their wrappers. In the fridge they get rock hard and lose a lot of their flavor.

I'm half considering buying a small fridge that I can set at 25-26 degrees just for chocolates and other things that should be stored at a more reasonable "room temperature". I brought several cases of snickers and peppermint patties with me when I came here, and they're just not the same if I have to eat them either half-melted or rock hard.

Minute Maid Pink Lemonade mix? I think that I'd feel less embarrassed if I had to buy a box of tampons for the wife!

the temperature inside the 7-11s and the supermarket is just right...simply buy and gobble on the spot...

I do keep all my chocolates in refrigerator and just take out when a snack is needed! I was just trying to read the label on this pack of Rollos, by the way they are Nestles Rolo on package, can't see the origin of this pack because of that dam_n sticker they put on all import items!, Wife loves the Butterfinger and Babyruth bars. I want some good Twizzlers red licorace, and heath bars, and my pepperoni so I can make my own pizzas and some pepperoni bread!!

I can recommend Snickers right out of the freezer and cut into bite sized sections...they are hard and chewy but manageable...and the stuff doesn't get all over yer fingers...

and, ye can't just wash the chocolate offa yer fingers but ye don't want to lick them and be unhygenic...so, whaddaya do?

and then the vietnamese woman would rub the Lindt chocolate from her fingers all over her splendid nekkid brown thighs and vaginal area and murmur: ' lick it, tutsi...lick it...'

she was shameless but economically minded and nothing ever went to waste...
