Just wondering as I am about to go apply for my 1st Drivers license in Thailand

as well as buy a truck & motorcycle/scooter

For the residence certificate I have decided due to time constraints to go to

the US Consulate for it. ( have appointment for tomorrow )

Since I am getting a drivers license for both car & bike ( which I do have the International Permit for )

and also buying both a truck & bike will I then need 4 of these residence certificates?

Hoping not as I hear they are not cheap

Thanks for any info given

Why not go immigration ? I don't know how much the embassy charge, but at immigration it is only 300 baht each. And yes you need 4, and if you go the imm route, remember to bring at least 5 photos (maybe 8).

Just in case someone else needs the info..................

One verification is enough...They make a copy for the motorcycle license

& use the original for the car license.

Not too bad time wise...about 3+ hours all done.

1-That included going to US consulate for residence verification notary

2- Hospital for doctors paper

3- DMV for both licenses.

Chiang Mai DMV seemed very nice & the information booth lady got me all squared away

so my papers were all in order.
