Jingthing
Sorry to hear this about some fellow Americans. But this is kind of strange, isn't it? Old dudes doing crystal meth? (As opposed to Viagra.) Not usual. Yeah I get it's addictive, but long term addicts wouldn't live that long and why would you start using something like that at an older age? They do say you need less sleep as you age Yeah but you might want sleeping pills, not hard core speed.Could be a case of "anything goes" mentality which is not quite the case in Thailand. They have to be thickos to indulge in drugs in Thailand seriously If I were to be indulging, not even my best buddy would be in the know... still the good old USA has an agreement with Thailand that after x amount of years they can be repatriated .... so in many ways their luck is in. .. wonder what an IPhone will look like then on their release! Popular Post LucidLucifer
Yet another tiny amount of drugs seized, yet again they are accused of dealing. But I suppose it looks good in the media, and for their own statistics. I'm waiting for the day I read, 'Drug Kingpin Arrested,' and when they genuinely catch someone at the top of the food chain. One gram of ice and a 'cigarette containing a small quantity of Marijuana.' Pathetic. I'm not defending the idiots that were caught, far from it, total muppets if you ask me. I'd just like to see some proper drug suppression for once. This is merely lip-service.
Darrel
Yet another tiny amount of drugs seized, yet again they are accused of dealing. To take drugs here is mildly daft. To deal them is crass stupidity. They probably only have themselves to blame for crossing the line that I suspect got them noticed in the first place.
Popular Post Exsexyman
Surely this news report must be factually incorrect. I am convinced i have read many posts by 'experts' on this forum stating that the only foreigners committing criminal acts in Pattaya are British.

I agree wholeheartedly, it just seems to me that anyone caught with drugs is automatically labelled a dealer, even without the physical evidence to back it up. noitom
It's easy to agree that it is generally very insane to use drugs. At the level of this arrest, what is surprising is that there aren't dozens and hundreds of arrests everyday in Thailand where drug use is supposedly rampant and in the news frequently. Maybe this one made the news because it was foreigners.
KeyserSoze01
It's easy to agree that it is generally very insane to use drugs. Perhaps you should tell that to all the alcoholics littering the streets in Thailand. One class of drugs is legal, while another is illegal. Go figure. I wonder how many drug mules it took to get the 1g of ice into the country?
