I was just wondering where can a Thai travel to, if he/she have a Thai passport?

What countrys do you not need a visa, and what countrys are easy to get visas for?

Thanks!

I belieive that Hongkong is visa on arrival for Thais - but I strongly suggest you doublecheck this before arriving!

I guess also any of the ASEAN countries - bearing in mind they have special q's for them at immigration.

Cambodia, I believe Singapore and Malaysis can be a problem for the fairer sex unless they are traveling with hubby, China's pretty easy to get into, my G/F has actually been to all of the above + HK, I don't think she arranged visa's in advance, but it many moons ago, and things have changed a bit

Agree with Phuketsiam

Singapore with you she's a wife 28 days, on her own she's a working gal 14 days (ba*$@%^*) - by air

Malaysia (mainland) 3 months - by air

Malaysia (NW Borneo) 1 Month - by air

Indonesia (Batam anyway) Easier for her than you - by boat

My wife told me that she wasn´t allowed to enter HK, she´s been travelling with a female friend and had no visa. The friend was allowed to leave the ship as she had a visa.My wife didn´t and had to stay onboard for 2 days.Malaysia,Laos and Cambodia is definitly no problem.Except of Malaysia she didn´t want to travel to the other 2 Countries

That's not right, I went there last year on my Thai PP and got in no problem.

Other countries which are visa free include Most of Asean, excluding Cambodia which is Visa on arival. Not sure about Burma though.

Thai's can also get to HK, Macau, Korea, Peru, Oman (which I hightly recommend), Russia with no visa's.

can anyone confirm no visa required for Thai P/P holders in Vietnam? What if a Thai P/P holder wanted to become temporarily resident (with falang husband on a job assignment) in a SE Asia country?...any advantages or benefit?

No visa needed for VN for a Thai, been there 3 times for work.

AFAIK, no residency benefits for being an ASEAN citizen (this ain't the EU!!), though getting a temp residence permit shouldn't be a problem for a spouse if the working partner has the correct paperwork.

To reach Peru from Thailand (or almost anywhere else outside the Americas) you have to change flights in the USA, right? If so that means a Thai national will need a US visa.

I also wonder of the countries that do require a visa, which ones are relatively easy to get into. I know, it's all relative!!!
