Man craving a prison term assaults mother-of-one at North Pattaya apartment

PATTAYA:--An unemployed and homeless man who was looking for an opportunity to be arrested and sent to Prison decided he would attempt a sexual assault on a woman to ensure a long prison sentence.

Police were called to an apartment complex in Naklua by residents who were alerted by screams coming from a room occupied by Khun Virairak aged 30 and her 1 year old son. Also inside the room was Khun Sumrit aged 38 who forced his way in and allegedly grabbed Khun Virairak and attempted to pin her down on the floor in preparation for the assault. Luckily he was stopped from committing the assault and was then assaulted himself by residents who were angered by his actions.

At Pattaya Police Station he confirmed his job and financial status and claimed he had formulated a plan to commit a serious crime to ensure a long prison term. His aim was to see out the next few years in prison where he would received three meals a day and would not have to worry about money.
