I explain my situation :

I will renew my passport at my French Embassy, because have only 4 pages available. So them will give me a new passport, & will cancelled the old passport but give me back this.

So, the Thai Immigration will give a stamp at the old passport cancelled right for the departure of Thailand ? ( or they will make a new stamp of my new passport also ? )

So, when I'll enter to Lao, the Lao Immigration, I must give them my new passport right. But it will not show any stamp of Thai Immigration I presume. or I need to show my two passport ?? or I'll be denied of entry in Lao ?

So, it can be possible to cross the Thai Lao border in this situation and show them two passport for prove my departure to Thailand at Lao officier..

Thanks ; )

Are you on an extension of stay of a non-immigrant visa or on a normal visa entry?

If you are on a 1 year extension of stay, you must visit immigration with both old and new paspsort and copies of them. Fill in aform and get the details transferred to the new passport.

You are probably ona visa entry, so can just go to the border with both passports. Immigration should stamp you out in the new passport, which you show to Laos immigration.

I'm currently in Australia and had a new passport issued and will be returning to Thailand in a few days. My old passport has a re-entry permit and my 12 month extension of stay vald through until the end of the year.

@ Mario2008 I presume from your comments above that at Swampy I will show both passports to immigration, get stamped in in my new passport and then in the following days visit immigration and have the 12 month extension of stay transferred into my new passport?

Thanks

So, I'm on the Non-Immigrant Visa "O" 90 Day - 1 entry, and I don't have any plan to extend this visa.

You should have no trouble, but make sure you have both passports with you.
