Some good news at last. Stepdaughter passed her TB free test today, so changed their appointments to the 05/07/12

Still no reply from either the VFS helpline,or the UKBA regarding whether a application is considered submitted once accepted by the VFS

I thought I answered that ? If the application is submitted before 9th July, then it will be under the current rules, no matter when the ECO gets to see it.

We're going around in circles a little bit, but my understanding of the question is as follows:

Is the submission date

i) The date you give the application to VFS staff; OR

ii) The date that VFS pass the application to the embassy.

I.E. application given to VFS staff Saturday 7th July, VFS pass application to embassy 9th July. Is the submission date 7th or 9th?

We aren't going round in circles. The submission date is the date you submit. You get a receipt showing the date and time of submission. It doesn't matter when the ECO gets it, or when it was passed to the Embassy.

Just booked appointment for next thursday so i guess the vfs weren't all booked up for next week!
