Then, they always place crap in or on it, whether it's wiring, plastic pipes, canopies, or, in this case, an ice chest. The tree is Hopea Odorata, or known in Thailand as Mrs. Takian, a ghost of a woman that lies in the tree's in the forest, a lot of belief in good luck especially on lottery day. This one is a full tree, 2-3 temples near where I live have part trunks, most dredged out of the local river, one guy started to chop one up until he was told what it was, it was then soon taken to our local temple.
