up-country_sinclair
Hi, I know this has been brought up before in other threads, but please read on. I'm hoping to sell my car soon to a third party, and I am wondering about the procedure I'll need to follow and what documents I'll need. Some background: * The car is fully paid for---There isn't (and never was) a loan outstanding * I live in a different province from what is listed in the car's blue book. * I have a work permit. It's my understanding that these 3 pieces of information are relevant, but there is a lot of conflicting informaiton on the forum as to how they're relevant. For example, some posters say that if you have a WP you don't need a certificate of residence. Also, some posters say that you can only sell the car in the province in which it's registered, and others say this is no longer true. If anyone could post any recent experiences with selling a car I would be most appreciative. To be perfectly frank, a step by step process is probably what I'm in need of most. Thanks very much.
