BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra Monday urged all sides in the political conflict to brush aside the conflicts for now and cooperate so that the country could survive all crises.

Yingluck said the country was not only facing a political crisis but also an economic crisis stemming from the global economic slump.

She said the government had to make preparations to cope with problems caused by the global economic crisis.

She said if all sides cooperate to create confidence, the country would be able to move on.

Yingluck said the government needed cooperation from all sectors and all sides should discuss what should benefit the country instead of talking only about political conflicts.

"If we talk only about the conflicts, the country will have no way out. We must get everything moving forward. I call on all sectors to be patient and help support the atmosphere of peace so that the country could move on," Yingluck said.

She added the people had already suffered a lot and the government wanted to see Thais be happy and enjoy a better quality of life."

Seen as part of the political crisis, the Constitution Court will review constitutionality of the charter amendments on July 5 and 6.

Yingluck said she would not pressure the court but she hoped the court would consider the case fairly based on facts.

She said her government had a policy to amend the charter and had announced the policy to parliament.

She might as well say, "everyone please eat a nutritious breakfast."

But really folks, the Thai people get along quite well with each other, when the politicians quit waving the false flag of 'reconciliation.' It's only when the 'reconciliation' (and change the charter/Constitution) rants get going in Parliament, that the Yellows protest, and immediately after, the Reds protest.

She can talk about 'cooperation' but it still translates as 'do what the Shinawatres and the PT and the Reds want'. .......or else we'll sic the Reds on you.

From another topic:

"Pheu Thai party list MP and UDD leader Korkaew said the red-shirt people had their right to protest against the Democrat as long as they did not break the laws or lynch Democrat leader Abhisit Vejjajiva."

In this ongoing struggle between the attempts to whitewash Thaksin and the red shirts crimes versus those who wish to see justice take its course, she is merely an ornament on the shelf, a pretty one, but of no significance in the play of things.

Good thinking. Set aside the divisions and the causes of those divisions and let the government run the country for the benefit of the Thai people in Thailand.

So stick the charter amendments nonsense on the backburner and get on with the job you were elected to do.

Chartity begins at home.....

Yingluck can start a bit closer to home and get her red shirt thugs to play by the laws of the land.

So get your own house in order, madam!!!!

Let's not limit her to just her party. Her own house is the entire nation.

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra Monday urged all sides in the political conflict to brush aside the conflicts for now and cooperate so that the country could survive all crises

We are in power now. We won an election with voting. We are going to do whatever we want to do. If you complain or disagree about what we are doing, we will describe your opinions as a 'crisis', or a 'conflict', something that must be 'survived'. If you try to stop us we will hand out your home addresses to street gangs. Please understand, we are only doing all this to reconcile differences and end conflicts and avoid crises, things that arise from having opinions other than our own. Thankyou for listening. Go back to sleep. Everythings great.

Yingluck is the leader of the government, why doesnt she show leadership?

She dont have what it takes.

She's too busy modelling herself on Suu Kyi. Note her makeup and hair and facial expressions

The facial expressions on the new model Yingluck cost extra. The prototype Yingluck could only waddle and say "overcome" in a little robot voice.

In her lexicon, the word 'cooperate' means 'do what me, my brother, PT and the Reds want.'

Privately, she knows the PT is in doo doo for pushing too hard on the bogus reconciliation bills. That's why the PT 'speaker' mothballed it. So what's left, when you run out of ideas? Simply hold a press conference and plead for 'cooperation.'

Addendum: I have a feeling her brother hasn't phoned in awhile, so that would explain why Ms Yingluck doesn't have any ideas for how to proceed. In theory, they're there to assist the Thai people. Isn't that what they're getting paid to do?

Some suggestions:

>>>> an energy policy that skirts away from nuclear and leans to concentrated solar

>>>> more libraries, more animal shelters (are there any already in Thailand?)

>>>> More and better-protected national parks

>>>> an education policy that enables kids from poor families to go to school for free.

....the list goes on....

More love fests with the red brigade and a hike in the price of sugar cane and tapioca

Did she confide her private thoughts to you and yours alone?

Just what sort of access to the PM do you have????

I'm thinking 'Inception" a la Leonardo.....I'm green with envy!
