Let's find out, where the most dust polluted roads are.

Everyone is invited to come up with solutions in order to tackling the problem.

I've walked these dusty roads for seven days and seven nights

The only guidance that I keep's the monochrome moonlight

Although the stars above me whisper songs to comfort me

I'm still a solitary girl seeking company

Way back, a haystack and the zodiac, three minds in empathy

A rucksack, the train track and a paperback's all I need to comfort me

I pass through pint-sized places that Ill never see again

I'm still a solitary girl seeking out a friend

Slickback, wisecrack, I can smell a rat

Ransacked, setback, down another cul-de-sac

Bullwhack, maniac, sitting on the train track

Crookback, lumberjack, think I better backtrack

I've walked these dusty roads for seven days and seven nights

The only guidance that I keep's the monochrome moonlight

Although the stars above me whisper songs to comfort me

I'm still a solitary girl seeking company

That's a solitary girl singing ??? I thought for a moment you were a poet ..... and we did not know it! whistling.gif

As for dust ..... the only solution is to concrete the whole island, including the beaches laugh.png ,

I think Boaters little road sweeper wheels will not hold up to the weight of the sand.... sad.pngrolleyes.gif

Perhaps more rain will solve the problem too? tongue.png.... oh no, it would wash more sand down from the side roads ..... what can we do? blink.png

Seems like they are doing something about the roads.

Noticed the last few days that they concreted a lot of holes in the northend end of chaweng road and when we got to our hotel this night they put asfalt (not sure if thats the word) on the one side of the road and sounds like they are working on the other side today.

As for the picture poorsucker posted.

Maybe that happens again even after they put asphalt on the roads?

The last week the roadworkers has been really busy on chaweng mainstreet and they have finished putting asphalt on most of it , if not all today.

Amazed at how quickly they work, under those conditions.

Putting asphalt on one side of the road while the other side is open for traffic with no barriers or anything :-)

Also noticed that a lot of the workers worked in flipflops on the hot asphalt. Crazy :-)

Seems like people didnt care about whether the workers were finished or not, cause they constantly drove over it even if it was layed down five minutes before.

Workers did try to put up a small barriere or two but people just ran them over in their trucks.

But also saw that they put asphalt over a lot of the drainage holes. They even entirely covered some of the large metal grills.(sp?)

Wonder how that will affect the drainage when rain sets in.
