Good to see the TV Thaksin haters' club has gone down the same route as the Dems. Thaksin obsession to their own detriment.

Discussing Thaksin is not really an obsession, it is more like repeated public warnings because he is a dangerous fleeing criminal who should not be approached by the public.

Pity he is so popular then............

And simultaneously, so despised. If half the population hates the ground you walk on, is that a success?

It must be sad to be so popular and yet afraid to return home in case they assinate you or throw you in prison.

Thaksin promises to come home only if reconciliation materializes in Thailand

BANGKOK, 20 July 2012 (NNT) - Ex-Premier Thaksin Shinawatra said he is waiting for the reconciliation process to materialize in Thailand before returning to his motherland.

According to Singapore's Channel News Asia website, Mr. Thaksin gave an interview to a reporter in Jakarta, talking about his returning home. The report said the self-exiled former Prime Minister is waiting for the people in Thailand to have unity first.

Mr. Thaksin said he can now travel anywhere in the world except to his own country. He explained that he is not welcomed in Thailand due to misunderstandings. According to him, he is willing to forgive everyone; all he want is to be part of the society and to live a normal and happy life in Thailand.

That's very big of him. Pehaps he would like for serve his prison sentence as well? The fact that other countries allow a convicted criminal and fugitve to travel freely and appear on TV and press interviews speaks volumes for the sad state of respect of law around the world. I guess if you have enough money no one really cares what you do and will fall over themselves to help you.

An interesting point was made in an article today that Thaksin is aware that he is a very poor public speaker and tries to compensate for that by going completely over the top in order to grab attention. His video phone ins are usually very boring at red shirt rallies, compared to the firebrand speeches by the likes of Jatuporn and Nattawut that precede them, and he is so egocentric that he tends to talk about himself most of the time without realising how crass this is, which makes for very poor theatre. Thus he has to make superlative claims and assertions that he usefully backtracks from soon after. Anyway as long as he keeps paying the rent they will still love him.

I think the statement, " he is willing to forgive everyone" goes a long way in reveling just how out of tough he is with the real world. "Everyone" would seem to suggest that he thinks that his, is the only way and everyone else was/is wrong.

Personally, I did not nor would I ask for his forgivness. With his record of backtracking, lieing, etc, I would expect this promise to go the way of him, making us rich in 6 months.

It may be time to put an end his self inflicted misery in a fitting way.

I just had a idea.

Thaksin is right it is time to face and talk.

Put him in a closet with a mirror and he can talk to himself.

Every one knows he is two faced.giggle.gif

So a four way conversation, all lies and innuendo.

Quadrophonic

Given his display of changing personalities, quadrophenic may be more appropriate.
