Water Turned Off.

All day today I have sweated and melted as the water has been off. I cursed and blamed the water company thinking they were doing work with no warning of turning the water off.

No water to flush the toilets - luckily I have 3 toilets so that was not a big problem.

By 9 p.m. still no water at all. I phoned a friend nearby and went to his place for a shower. Thanks m8

Then I began to wonder why no water at this time of night. It has happened before with water off during the day but always back on of an evening. I saw my next door neighbour on the right and asked him in my faltering Thai if he has water. He has on the tap in the street outside his house.

I tried my water meter stopcock. It is on. Checked the stopcocks on the patio. They are on. The pump is on too. So why no water getting to my house? I got my torch out and looked about. Behind the refuse bin and under a small bush is another stop cock. This was turned off!! Obviously someone has turned it off. I cannot be sure but I believe the neighbours on my left must have done it. Yet I have no idea why. I do know I want to give them a good mouthful, but what good would that do?

It goes to show how petty / nasty some people can be. But now I am clean and shaven, I am off out to sink a few to calm down.

What would you do? What can be done? I cannot see what i can do about it except to know next time to check the stopcocks.

I've had the same thing happen with my scooter a couple of years back,sneaky shits thought it would be funny to turn the petrol cock off,needless to say I wised up to that,but at the time it was bloody annoying as I was in the middle of nowhere in Phetchabun at a water fall and thought the bike had given up on me.

Assuming the stopcock is in a hole with a cover, put a large rubber spider or snake in the hole.

If it has a removable handle or wheel, detach it and keep it indoors. If not, try jamming it in place as Tommo suggests.

Don't pay any attention to whoever might have played this foul trick on you. If you respond they'll only get the satisfaction of knowing they have wound you up.

I do not disturb my neighbours at all. I even use wi-fi headphones for my tv and music.

The neighbours on the right are great. Those on the left are not. Up to them.

Seems the best idea. This stopcock is after the meter so I should be able to do what I like with it. Have to admit I did not know this stopcock existed until last night so whoever did this must have known.
