Must Leave For New Non-Immigrant O Multi-Entry - Where To Go?

Originally here on 1yr multi-entry non-imm o visa based on marriage.

Left for many months and returned after expiration of that visa, so now on my 60 day extension of the 30 day tourist visa.

I left it too long and don't have 15 days remaining... so it's been suggested I leave & apply for 1yr non-imm o outside the country..

Where is best for me?

Which countries nearby issue this visa, and do not require 100,000 or 400,000 in the bank?

I have an affidavit from the Canadian Embassy in BKK showing over $40,000/mo income over many months.

I do not and will not be able to show 400,000 or even 100,000 in a Thai or other bank account.

I have no Thai bank account. I have a Canadian credit union account only, but it would back up the affidavit proving >40000/mo if needed.

Basically I have everything I would need to apply for this visa here in BKK, except for the 15 days - and am already on the 60 day extension.... anyone know if Pathum Thani immigration will extend again??? I know.... my bad.

Only Savannakhet is locally currently known to issue without bank account for a multi entry - but you really only need a single entry and during the last 30 days extend for a year using Thai wife reason and the Embassy income paperwork if you want. Single entry will be issued anywhere with normal marriage certificate/copy of wife id card and home register.

Just back from Savannakhet 5000 baht for Multi Non O, Savannakhet not Interested in money paperwork, I did the Savan Vegas Hotel & Casino that is advertised on TV big mistake lost my passport not once but twice service was crap will not use them again

That was not my meaning - apply for what you want and it should be issued with the normal paperwork mentioned. But was saying if you can meet extension of stay requirements and it suites your needs you can do that with a single entry so the multi would not be required.

need to put paperwork in before 11pm Mulit is no problem 5000 baht pick up passport with visa 2pm next day dead easy they realy only want to see the original Marrage cert

Are you sure you want to get the multiple entry visa instead of a 1 year extension at immigration? If you need to travel you can get a multiple re-entry permit when you get your extension for 3800 baht.

The income letter is enough to get the extension of stay.

They Savanaketh Thai consulate now requires you to show bank account atleast 50k thai baht for 1 year non o multiple

The latest reports have indicated that no financial proof was required.

Was this in fact at the Consulate or response to a question? Ask because another poster said they told him 100k. But to date have not seen any report of actual request at Consulate for such paperwork.

No I am not sure.

If I leave Thailand and get a single entry visa, then get the 1 year extension at thai immigration (yes wife & I have all the required documents) will I be free of border runs?

If so, that's preferred, and I would get the multiple re-entry permit when extending with thai immigration.... as I do travel a lot.

There would not be any need of border crossings for the one year extension is valid but if you stay longer than 90 days without leaving you do have to report your current address to immigration (can be done by mail most places) but if you travel often that may not even happen.

So... i think this is my last question.

Since applying for the extension in BKK with Thai Immigration requires at least 15 days on the existing visa.... would a simply leaving then arriving by air and getting a 30 day tourist visa suffice?

This seems like a valid option yes?

You are talking about not having a non immigrant visa for entry and then making conversion at extra 2,000 baht fee as you must have a non immigrant visa entry to extend. And extension must be done during the last 30 days on a 90 entry (you can use a re-entry permit if need to travel). So yes you can use a visa exempt entry to start the process and even down to about 11 days seems to be accepted for this purpose. But may be easier to just obtain a single entry non immigrant O visa with an overnight stay at a Consulate city.

I'm thinking Phnom Penh... where I'll apply for a single entry non-immigrant O.

It is not the most reliable Consulate in the region so you may have to spend 4 days there getting a visa. If that is not a problem then should be fine. Most Consulates are next day issue.

I have proof of over 60,000 baht income via letter from employer + paystubs + online bank statement printouts.

I'm going to Savannkhet on sunday night from surin on the yellow bus for a triple entry, tourist visa 3000Baht i was told and then that gives you a nine month stay in thailand , how often do you have to do a border run.

Keep in mind the validity of the visa, all 3 entries must be made before the visa itself expires!
