I searched but can’t find any discussion on this.

Need to withdraw some money before going back to get the final stamp.

My bank account will be dropped to under 400K.

Will it be safe to withdraw money under the 30 day consideration stamp and get 1 year extension of stay!

The total must not go below 400k at any time during the 2 months prior to extension application. Once application is made (which it seems is your case) you should be able to use normally under the new seasoning rules.

(1) My non-immigr "O" is up for renewal 8/31. My wife are about to go to Amphur to divorce. Am I at risk of renewal denial? Supposedly, I will be teaching hire meeting in August for a September start - 3-mo. contract. If this happens soon enough, I will wait to do renewal after I have contract in hand. So, I would be applying for renewal with all these changes: marital status, address, employment.

(2) My required fixed account of 400k was set up 8/22/11. As of 7/22/12 I have 12k interest accrued. I tried to transfer that interest income to my classic account for access, but the bank clerk refused me. Is this just a language misunderstanding? That interest is not part of the fixed balance, right? It should be freely my decision to leave it or move it as I see fit, right?

eager for response, . Thanks.

1. If you get divorced before 8/31 you will not get another extension of stay based upon marriage. Your current extension will end on the date you get divorced. You will have to leave the country and get some kind of visa.

2. Typicality a fixed term account cannot have any with drawl until the end of the term.
