September 3, 201214 yr My son, the best thing and the saviour of my life, will not and I guarantee be entering the Thai army! When my son is 21 he will be towards the end of a degree in a university in England! He will he British and no more! As well as Jewish. A British passport is a passport to life. I couldn't give a monkeys! My wife who I live dearly will have an English passport by then, aswell as my son and me. Inevitably it will mean happuness! MrZ, you clearly have real resentment towards thailand, can i ask why? Surely you must have loved Thailand at some point to end up with a Thai family. Just because someone realises and voices the fact that a Thai education and passport is about as much use in the real world as a chocolate tea pot, does not mean that he has "resentment towards thailand" especially I would say. The young lad will be able quite well enough with his western education to question his fathers beliefs in this matter, and make his own decisions in this matter; the beauty of a western education.
September 26, 201213 yr Just found out that a friends son only has to do two months of his national service. After that he is free to go home but the money for the remainder of his service gets passed up the chain. No wonder it pays to be a high ranking officer!!!
