Greetings,

Please I need help understanding Non - Imm "B". I changed a Non-Imm "0" (retirement extension) to a Non -"B" (Business) to work with a legally registered foundation.

I did this at Savannkhet, Lao with all paper work except WP3 receipt. At first the Consul refused the application but said that a fax from the employer stating employment conditions and processing of WP, then a "B" was possible.

Next day, the "B" was issued for 90 days with Single Entry. Issue date 30 May 2012 with Enter Before 29 August 2012.

With only Single Entry may I now apply for Multiple Re- Entry to get another 90 days or does the "B" expire visa on 29 August.

If visa is finished on 29 August, because now the foundation is now reluctant to process WP, can I again apply for a Non-Imm "O" retirement before expiration date of "B".

I have had Non- Imm "O" extensions for the past 6 years.

Regards,

you need to get another visa, if you qualify and have all the documentation then go to Immigration and get an extension there, based on retirement.

A re-entry permit is required if you leave Thailand and want to keep your current extension or visa alive, but it is only valid up to the date of expiry of the extension/visa, it does not add any days to your stay.

I think you meant to type that he does not need to get another visa. He can get his retirement extension with a B visa.

You now have a non-B visa and are allowed to stay in Thailand for up to 90 days. Within the last 30 days you can apply for an extension of stay at immigration and you can also get a re-entry permit. You can apply for an extension of stay based on retirement on the non-B entry.

A re-entry permit only keeps your current permission to stay alive, it doesn't add any days.
