I need to know the cost of getting a visa for a thai to come to the uk after getting married in thailand

and how much to get the Thai marriage registration done in thailand

And how much do you think a flight from thailand to uk cost ... thx

• marriage registration (no wedding, party, rings, gift of any sort) but including taxis around bangkok, affirmation to marry, getting docs signed and translated about 4000- 5000 bht.
  
• settlement visa is best part of £800 but with all the stuff you need to do satisfy the visa including tests/scans and the like looking at about £1200 min.
  
• flight to uk min around £650 direct depending when she goes..

Our amphur marriage including UK Embassy affirmation, translation, MFA stamp & amphur fee was under 4000thb so roughly £80

English test 7000thb

TB test 2600thb

translation of Thai documents for visa 1000thb

Visa fee 40,500thb £810ish (when we did ours last year)

Again thats very basics but you're going to have to add cost of rings, gold etc (even for the most basic of weddings)

Its always more expensive to fly from Thai to UK than it is UK to Thailand

One possible reason why its so expensive is to act as a deterrent to non-genuine applicants, but also to help pay toward the cost to the tax payer for all of the "illegals" that come here

do you know you have to satisfy the embassy that you have enough money and a job and accomadation for her before they consider giving her a visa,and also there might be a small amount for her family.

You do realise that as her sponsor, you will need to demonstrate that you currently have verifiable income of at least £18,600 per year? And that there will be additional fees for ILR and potentially citizenship if you wish her to remain in the UK indefinitely? If the visa fees are going to be a challenge, you might want to think carefully about whether this is the right course for you.

As regards the airfare, it is an unfortunate fact that tickets for flights from BKK to the UK cost more than the other way round, and a direct one-way flight may well cost the £650 quoted. He can easily verify that by checking on the websites of BA, Eva and Thai, which are the only direct carriers. Many sponsors feel it right not to put their partners, who may not have travelled abroad before, through the potential stress and confusion of transiting an airport in the Middle East or elsewhere.

The TB test is firstly just a chest x-ray (no blood test). Should there be any doubt on the x-ray then a series of sputum tests are carried out

It must be done in Thailand via the International Office for Migration in Bangkok before applying for the vias

my wf had her's done in bkk hospice but then she had a complete blood test that was in 1989 still has the certificate,they used to have a potocabin at heathrow airport to the left at immagration control were they would do the tests.

With respect, things have changed over the last 23 years!

Only certificates issued by the IoM in Bangkok are acceptable for applications made in Thailand.

People entering the UK may still be sent to the medical centre before being allowed entry, so it's a good ides to carry the certificate in your hand luggage.
