Today's English language newspaper talked about the National Savings fund that allows Thai workers to contribute toward a pension fund. Participation is open to Thais aged 15 and above who do not already participate in a state-sponsored retirement scheme such as the Social Security Fund. For members aged 15-30, the government will match half of each member's monthly contribution up to 600 baht a month.

Our maid/gardener fit into that age group......I'd like to encourage their participation in that savings fund......but am unsure of how to apply.

If anyone out there has any experience with this savings fund, I'd appreciate some inside information.
