I just realised that Immigration did not give me an arrival / departure card when they replaced my Non-O visa in my replacement passport. (The original was reported lost).

I have a blue stamp in my passport saying I can stay until Sept 15th 2012.

Do I need to go down to get an arrival / departure card in this instance?

The Non-O was issued in the U.K. for over 50 years with required monthly funds shown on bank statement.

I would try to get a new one, otherwise immigration will keep asking for your arrival card for 90 day reports and extensions. Aso for checking into hotels the card is required.

It appears you have your 90 day entry placed into the new passport (visas are not transferred) and the reason was lost passport. Believe they will have you fill out a form on exit to replace the missing departure card but notation in passport should explain why you do not have it enough to avoid issues. I would take copy of police report with me if you have just in case they ask why. But as it would not be transferred under current policy for a routine passport change do not believe there will be any issue.

If your O visa was issued in your country of orgin for example the U.S.A. where you received the O visa, the Immigration the stamp,

the Thai Immigration cannot replace it.

If you have the original departure card stapled to you in your old passport as well as the O Visa Stamp...DO NOT DESTROY IT.

When you exit Thailand, you will need to bring the old passport with the departure card in it and your newly issued passport.

If you paid for an O Visa or a 1 year multiple entry visa, then you must keep both those passports with you when you re-enter and when

you depart each time.

My guess is you received you O Visa stamp at a Thai Consulate or Embassy

Obviously no card as the topic says it is a replacement passport and visa stamp because the other was lost.

Thanks for the replies.

I could go to Immigration at Jomtien and ask.

I do have a copy of the police report and would prefer a hassle free crossing next month when I go to Laos for my tourist visas.

If leaving next month, lopburi's advice is the best. You can do it on exit. I was more talking about when on an extension of stay.

OK, Thanks :)
