AyG
http://pdfcrowd.com/ will probably do what you want, I think. (Not sure about the plugin part, though.)

chrgrims
normal web to pdf doesnt do plugins. but thanks for the links anyway! what im trying to do is make this page http://rabiang.squarespace.com/about-us/ look the same in a pdf i can send to journalists, including the ability to play the songs from the pdf. cheers, chris
happysanook
the links work, but not the embedded songs... are you trying to get the songs to play within the pdf? i didn't know that was possible. why not just send journalists the link to your webpage? chrgrims
i didnt know it was possible either, but someone told me that it was. maybe its not. EPKs, if done well, are normally distributed as pdf's, this might be just a business standard for all i know. but i dont have great knowledge in this area of marketing. AyG
I would posit that it's not possible to include the plug-ins for the simple reasons that the plug-ins are platform dependent; a plug-in that will run in a Windows environment for example, won't run in a Linux or MacOS one; the PDF format, however, is intended to be platform-independent. Tywais
the links work, but not the embedded songs... are you trying to get the songs to play within the pdf? i didn't know that was possible. why not just send journalists the link to your webpage? It is possible with Adobe Acrobat Pro version 9 and newer but you have to manually embed them into the pdf and just a direct conversion of the website won't include them automatically.

hml367
What if you distribute html page files with direct links to the music files? MSPain
chrgrims
Wont that get stopped by a lot of spam filters? I was adviced to make a pdf by a friend that works in the business, actually books bands to play in thailand. he says pdf's work best. so thats what i want to try this time. Someone in this thread has offered to do it, he says he knows how in a PM. so hopefully it will happen! cheers, chris

CBR250
If you want to change a file to .pdf - on a Mac - you just go "print" then select the "Save as .pdf" option from the Print window.. I imagine PCs have a similar system, although it may require a plug-in.
Maestro
I have been using CutePDFfor years now and it works a treat..... Using CutePDF to create a PDF file of the web page to which chrgrims linked I get this document: Rabiang - CutePDF.pdf Neither the links to other web pages nor the links to embedded sound files work. Para
Neither the links to other web pages nor the links to embedded sound files work. My bad I didn't read the part where he wants to embed media content. Options..... Use HTTrack to rip the site and content it creates a front HTML page with the media where it should be. But this doesnt create the required PDF file. I am not a webmaster but isn't there some way of exporting the web page from Dreamweaver or similar decent web page creator? Maestro
Same situation when printing the cited web page to PDF on an Apple computer, in the Firefox browser. As this PDF file turned out to be 25 Megabytes, I am not attaching it here.

Payboy
Check out Server2Go. Doesn't make PDF's, but you can burn a CD with a running website that doesn't need an internet connection.
Abigail111
Hello There is a PDF document file creating library control which offers to create a highly-secure and industry-standard PDF document file It also supports to offer the ability to define the page numbers of generated PDF document by simple C# programming code. You can take a look.
