playyer
So I want to get out of the house a bit, and do some work online. Looking for someplace relaxing preferably with a nice view or somewhere you can peoplewatch. Starbucks would be great, but they charge way too much for their wifi. Anybody have any ideas??? cmbe
I see many shops in city have free wifi, you can order one coffee(or just ask, Can I use free wifi here? )then can stay as long as the shop open.
Phrafarang
Mad Dog has pretty good free wifi and relatively comfy seating as does Number One bar, not sure you would get away with one coffee all day though

Wrong. Don't do this. If you're going to stay all day, order something every hour or so, something substantial. Be a good customer instead of a cheap charlie. Gaming the system here is not only wrong, it is unwise. The Thais have creative ways at getting back at someone who abuses the system. Who can blame them?
highonthai
Another WIFI squatter, Didn't Starbucks just do something about these people? One coffee and sit for hours? Please.....
Popular Post Semper
Immigration has free Wi-FI. Bring your WP, if you're going to do "some work". Edited August 20, 2012 by Semper
Phrafarang
Guys Remember it was not the OP who said " one coffee"
SamSipEt
Mad Dog is a good choice. Som's bar in the small alley (not big enough to be a soi) opposite 101 Bar (next door to Chez Marco) is a possibility. Sadly the Olde Bell does not have wi-fi Downunder Pub on Loy Kroh half way between the night bazaar and the river. are just a few suggestions. There are so many places these days that have free wifi just wander about and pick one that suits.
LarryBird
Coffee and Dairy Lover's next to Empress Dental on Canal Road, 400meters before the night safari intersection. Peace.
hellodolly
Immigration has free Wi-FI. Bring your WP, if you're going to do "some work". Exlent idea and you get to watch many different nationalities. They are used to people being there a long time.
