SURGERY ACCOMPLISHED ON 13 YEAR OLD GIRL WITH LARGE BREASTS

Medical personnel at Siriraj (ศิริราช) hospital have successfully operated on a 13-year-old girl with abnormally large breasts. However they indicated that her breasts may still enlarge in the future if her hormone secretions were abnormal.

Yesterday the medical team at Siriraj took 4 and a half hours to operate on the 13 years old girl. Doctors removed 2.3 kilograms of flesh from the patient's right breast and 740 grams from her left breast.

Doctors say the patient would be able to milk feed her baby in the future, but also said her breasts could still enlarge if her hormones were abnormal. The patient will be dismissed in 4-7 days.

Siriraj hospital treats on average 6 patients with abnormally large breasts each year.
