Apply for a re-entry permit. Your pp has a chop saying your case is under consideration, come back by .....(usually one month)

The re-entry will allow you to return by that date.

They issue single or multiple, as per your request.

Hi Seff Mick

The first few times I extended my visa

they gave an initial one month

This last time the Lady said - we are going

to give you the full 12 months immediately.

She didn't say why !

You do not need any "exit visa" -

as Axel has said - you MUST get a Re-Entry Permit.

Roger 13, introduce me to that lady. :o

Usually, my staff (and co-director) does my non-imm B. She told me 12 years ago

"I am Thai, he is clerk being paid to do a job, I don't pay any handling fee"

So, my annual extension takes 2-3 months. Who cares?

For sheff_mick: I want to re-iterate one thing. While your chop says 'come back by ....' your re-entry will show that date. But careful, if you should show up (e.g.) on 20th Febr. and your re-entry allows you to comne back by 20th, but you showed up on 15th, your re-entry is cancelled. You need a new one to come back by the new date chopped.

Hi Axel,

I am not on a Business visa.

I always handle the extension of my Retirement Visa

personally - it has always been straight forward.

And takes little time in the office - in the room at

the back of the ground floor of Suan Phlu.

I have never given anything.

No handling Fee, No Bottles.

And I do not speak Thai.

yes you can. Go to Thai immigration and as you walk into the building go left to the very end and apply there. It will take about an hour and it will cost you 1000 baht for a one time. You can also get multiple there. I think the fee is 3000 baht.

Whatever is an exit visa ?

Hi Roger13,

fully agree, they are not that bad, always considering, it is police, not a service company.

Let's say a B-visa takes longer as lots of balance sheets to be read. :o

Btw: Multiple re-entry is Baht 3800 and, as said, it's void once your dates are changed
