The Phuket News Seeks Sub-Editor / Sports Editor

Applicants should have a keen eye for detail, an inexhaustible passion for words and innate feel for the English language, as well as familiarity with the mechanics of newspaper journalism. A passion for sports is an advantage though not essential.

Applicants should have at least three years’ editorial experience, and experience of online editing is preferable. The role is open to Thai and foreign nationals.

As well as overseeing the sports section, your responsibilities include: Copy editing; rewriting and proofing articles for print and online; fact-checking; planning, sourcing and writing story material; layout design; writing engaging headlines and stand-firsts; final page proofs; photography; and uploading web content.
