My Czech mate has had atemp 6 month passport issued(real ones take 2 weeks)

It has a entry stamp and and new replacement arrival card ssued.

She need go 90 day run next week will she be able to re-enter and resume work.

The passport will be just under 6 months validity as issued 2 days ago?

All advice appreciated.

Worst case scenario is she will need to go home and lose job

Would an immigration lawyer be any use?

If she can travel to Hong Kong and return it should be allowed - this is not a Thai issue as Thailand will accept passport for period of stay but most other countries will require at least six months.

Is this a border run with a visa in old passport, as in 90 day trip as you mentioned, or is a visa also required? A visa would not be issued.anywhere.

I did not think that a visa could be placed in a temp passport, however I could be wrong.

Also there is no such thing as a work visa.

I believe you mean an entry stamp and reference to the original visa was placed in passport - a visa can not be transferred to any passport and a new non immigrant b visa can not be entered into a passport only valid for less than six months.

(1) Foreigners who wish to work in Thailand must provide the following documents:

- Passport or travel document with validity of not less than 6 months.
