September 10, 201213 yr Author I took a Songthaew from Lamai to Nathon and back again yesterday, paid 60 baht each way, never discussed fare. No problems. Been a while but that was the cost. Ring the bell, hand over 60 and job done. I must of had the inexperienced pasty white tourist look about me, to of kept on getting the 100 baht line. Anyway I've continued with my use of yellow Taxis, they, "believe it or not, and even I was surprised" seem quite open to a bit of fare haggling which I know is highly unusual in SamuiChaweng to the airport 200 baht he started at the 450 baht mark seemed quite amiable regarding the fare, at this rate I'm thinking of statrting a Samui Taxi drivers Appreciation Society!
