The Ramones Helping Me Enjoy Pattaya Even More?

Featured Replies

I truly love living in Pattaya and have never found anywhere better for me. However, I love my peace and quiet. I know it's hard to find in the center of the city so I've decided I would prefer to choose what I listen to all day. Therefore, I've loaded heaps of Ramones songs on my MP3 and go about my business not having to listen to inane chatter. So when I lay down for a massage, I don't listen to boisterous discussions about papaya salad. Instead, I listen to the song Teenage Lobotomy. Instead of listening to the waitresses yelling customers' orders back to the cooks 2 inches from my left ear, I've got the song Beat on the Brat blaring away. The Ramones are not the most soothing of sounds but it sure beats the yelling and screaming.

IMHO a big mistake - however good the music is, your effectively cutting yourself off from society and human intercourse in a big way.

Imagine if we all adopted that approach ? blink.png

As E.M.Forster put it: "only connect".

Quality band! thumbsup.gif

I saw them live five times in the UK.

I think they're all dead now...sad.png

Love the Ramones, but if you wanna get away from "blaring" and "screaming"... are you sure you chose the right band? Maybe the Carpenters...?

One two three four!

Bonzo goes to Bitburg is probably one of the best songs ever written...

Hey. Ho. Let's Go

I sometimes play my MP3 player while shopping etc. But just as often I'll use earplugs.
