Creepy Doctor Films Nurses Using Toilet

A hospital doctor in Amnat Charoen province was fined 1,000 THB by police for hiding a mini-camera in the ladies restroom. A nurse found the camera and gave it to police. The doctor agreed to undergo treatment and was transferred to another hospital.

AMNART CHAROEN – September 3, 2012 [PDN]; a doctor appeared at the Muang Amnart Charoen police station to pay a 1,000 THB fine for hiding a camera in the woman’s restroom at Amnart Charoen hospital.

The suspect, a special expert level 8 doctor, came to pay the fine by himself, then hurried to escape news reporters. Later, a victimized nurse came to speak to the police investigation officer.

The nurse had initially found the hidden camera while using the restroom, which she turned in to police. When the police investigated the camera’s contents, they found information related to the suspect doctor, who owned the camera.

The doctor was summoned to be investigated at the police station. He confessed that the camera belonged to him, and consented to pay a fine of 1,000 THB for secretly filming females using the toilet.

Police have also seized the doctor’s computers at his office and home for other evidence to inspect further.

A statement was issued by Dr. Somrerk Jeungsamarn, the director of Amnart Charoen hospital to news reporters.

Remind me again, about the perv who filmed two of the members of the girl band "Four Mod" showering together.

Didn't he get prison time for his secret camera stunt, and a frantic police search using all available resourses, and an expedited court case?

Sad state of the medical system when you can't even get treatment in your own hospital wink.png

A very valid point. What authority do the police have to extract their tea money for such an offence? Surely this should have been brought before a judge, with the ultimate potential of the perpetrator being struck off....!!

We laugh, but this is a travesty that a perv like that gets off with a 1,000 bht fine. All the more encouragement to repeat the same behavior or worse.

Maybe he should cross train and go into the OB-GYN field.

Or just "cross-dress" and get in the ladies room , no need for camera.

I know of a doctor in the UK who did the same thing in a female shower cubicle. He was struck off the medical register.

Rightly so. This fine is a disgrace.

He was moved to duty at another hospotal according to PDN. If there ever were a valid reason for "inactive post" this is it. The committee formed will eat time until the story fades, status quo.

you get fined 2000 baht for a cigarette butt if you're a foreigner, but 1000 baht for this kind of obscene behavior if you're Thai? The face is long gone, nothing to lose here.

so, is it twice as wrong {2,000 baht} to smoke a cigarette in the wrong place as it is for a "professional medical doctor" to illegally place a camera in the restroom to film his staff and clients going to the bathroom for obviously sick pornographic uses resulting in a 1,000 baht fine ?????............answer is : do not smoke cigarettes but take illegal porno flics for sick, sick purposes................no place is perfect but this is a joke.....do you have a doctors appointment in Thailand ???????>

<deleted>? why don't they revoke his doctor license? can this doctor even be qualified as a doctor with his sick act?

Technically no. However, as the sexual deviancy is considered a mental illness, the law precludes discrimination against the mentally ill.

Wht is missing is disciplinary action by the Medical Society. This ophysician should not be allowed unsupervised access to female patients. No mention of any disciplinary action or a restriction on activities.

And Thailand seeks to be a medical hub? Not likely as long as such actions are not addressed by the governing medical body.

So much material, so little time. Thailand, the hub of comedic reality.

Explain this. First he has been assessed a 1000 baht fine. Then his computers have been confiscated. So was it a fine or a down payment.

Also I am assuming the doctor had a better camera than the one used to photograph his crime scene, otherwise what a waste of time. Geez and if you want something really out of focus, try the quote from his superior.

"“I already commanded this doctor to move to operate duty at a health supporting hospital at one Tambol, and I, as his chief, have brought this doctor to check up his body and found that this doctor has abnormal mental health, and he consented to be in treatment to cure further,” said Dr. Somrerk."

So much material, so little time. Most amusing.

@George: you, again, are SOOOOOO right ! ! !

This gives the term "Travesty-Of-Justice" a totally new meaning, doesn't it !

Unbelievable; we live in a country where the Policeman is Judge, Jury & Executioner . . . . . . . ridiculous !

Maybe someone better bring this to the attention of Mr. Pracha Promnok, huh ?
