Lufthansa cancels 1,200 flights due to strike

FRANKFURT: -- In connection with a new cabin crew strike scheduled to take place on September 7th, Lufthansa has canceled about 1,200 of its approximately 1,800 scheduled flights.

The protests will run from midnight on the night of the 7th and last for 24 hours. It will affect the airports of Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich, Dusseldorf, Stuttgart and Hamburg.

The most recent protests which ccurred on September 4th caused a complete German air-traffic collapse and affected about 90,000 passengers.

Flight attendants are demanding higher wages.

Horrible airline? Are you serious? Lufthansa is one of the best airlines that I have flown in economy. smokie36 you should come over to the US if you want to see some truly horrible airlines.
