webfact Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Lufthansa cancels 1,200 flights due to strike FRANKFURT: -- In connection with a new cabin crew strike scheduled to take place on September 7th, Lufthansa has canceled about 1,200 of its approximately 1,800 scheduled flights. The protests will run from midnight on the night of the 7th and last for 24 hours. It will affect the airports of Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich, Dusseldorf, Stuttgart and Hamburg. The most recent protests which ccurred on September 4th caused a complete German air-traffic collapse and affected about 90,000 passengers. Flight attendants are demanding higher wages.
