Some Pictures Not Showing

Apologies if this has been covered before but this has been irritating me for a while. There may be a simple answer to this as I am in China but it is very frustrating when viewing topics that some posted pictures just show as a blue circle with a diagonal slash through them. I cannot seem to open them with either a left or right click.

As an example in post 21 in The English Language topic from yesterday the blether replied to a post, where I had replied to him, with two pics neither of which would show, so I had no idea what was going on.

Could it be because some of my settings are at fault or is it the "great firewall"

I am using Win 7 and IE9 with Do Not Track.
